Gosfield Air Field |
Gosfield Nature Reserve |
First used as an airfield during the First World War, it was built as Gosfield for the Eighth Air Force and then Ninth Air Force in 1942-43. The airfield was closed and mostly returned to agriculture in the late 1940s and early 1950s. It was also used as a car test track 1968-87. It is now mainly used by dog walkers and by small businesses in the village.

Maintained by volunteers in Gosfield, the nature reserve is home to a large variety of plant life and wildlife and is a peaceful place to visit and is popular by villagers and by outsiders.
